Simply said, wishing to be healthy and fit will not make it happen. Creating reasons or excuses as to why it has not happened will also not help.
So stop thinking so much! If making major changes is hard begin with small steps to better health. Start with your morning meal. Are you eating a bunch of sugar like a doughnut, a coffee drink with tons of sugar, sweet yogurts, etc.. Consuming too much sugar leads to weight gain. Additionally, sugar craves sugar. This means that by eating sugar in the morning you will be hungry all day and crave more sugar, yikes! Instead eat a healthy breakfast and avoid the sugar.
Once you get into a routine with your new breakfast make changes in other areas like adding physical activities or exercise. Start with one day per week of activities then build up to 3 days. And most importantly even if you don’t see the scale dropping upon making small changes, realize that every move towards good health counts! You may not see the weight drop but by decreasing sugar you could be avoiding serious medical issues, which many people get from a poor diet. Remember, it took time to gain weight and it will take time and effort to loose it. Make it happen, one step at a time!
